Dr Piyush Singh (PT) is a seasoned academician, clinician, and researcher with nearly two decades of professional experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences. He has over 19 years of experience, dedicating more than 16 years to academics and institutional development, alongside valuable clinical and corporate experience in leading hospitals and sports organisations. Dr Piyush (PT) holds an MPT in Sports & Manual Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia and a BPT from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has recently completed his doctoral research at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, focusing on Motor control assessment and training of deep neck extensor muscles in cervicogenic headache. His academic journey is complemented by international certifications in strength & conditioning (ASCA), Neurokinetic Therapy, Dry Needling, and taping techniques, reflecting his commitment to evidence-based practice. Over his career, Dr Piyush (PT) has been instrumental in launching and expanding physiotherapy programs, notably at the ISIC Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, where he played a key role in academic administration, NAAC/IQAC processes, clinical collaborations, and curriculum innovation. He has actively coordinated student clinical postings with leading hospitals, national sports organisations, and guest faculty networks to enrich student learning. His research portfolio spans sports rehabilitation, biomechanics, exercise physiology, and technology-enabled healthcare (AI & IoT-based devices). He has numerous publications in reputable Scopus/WoS-indexed journals and has presented at over 50 national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. He also holds a design patent for an IoT-based device in diabetic neuropathy detection and designed a pneumatic pressure biofeedback system in collaboration with IIT Delhi.
