Dr. Priyanka Rishi is an accomplished academician, researcher, and
physiotherapy professional with over 13 years of
experience in clinical practice, higher education, academic leadership, and research
administration. She currently
serves as Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Orthopaedics and Obstetrics &
Gynaecological Physiotherapy
at SGT University.
Her expertise lies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, women’s health physiotherapy,
non-invasive pelvic floor
rehabilitation, and diabetes education, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based clinical
practice and innovative
rehabilitation approaches. Dr. Rishi has been actively involved in curriculum development,
research coordination,
faculty development initiatives, academic administration, and mentoring undergraduate,
postgraduate, and doctoral
students.
A committed researcher and innovator, Dr. Rishi has authored nearly 40 research publications
in reputed national and
international journals. Her research interests include musculoskeletal rehabilitation,
spinal health, cervical pain
management, geriatric rehabilitation, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor dysfunction, and
evidence-based physiotherapy
interventions. She has also contributed to healthcare innovation through patents and
copyrights in the field of
physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences.
Dr. Rishi is actively engaged in promoting excellence in higher education through quality
assurance initiatives aligned
with national educational frameworks and global academic standards. She is currently
pursuing Level 3 UK Education and
Training qualifications to further strengthen her international pedagogical competencies and
teaching methodologies.
