Dr. Lalit Mohan Joshi
Assistant Professor
Dr. Lalit Mohan Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana. He brings over four years of research experience in the field of Statistics and Biostatistics. He has also served as a Visiting Faculty at Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy, affiliated to University of Delhi (session 2025-26), where he taught Biostatistics to BPT and MPT students. He holds a Master's degree in Statistics from Kumaun University, Nainital and has completed his Ph.D. in Statistics from the Department of Statistics, University of Delhi. His academic and research interests include Biostatistics, Statistical Modelling, Survey Data Analysis, Regression techniques, Machine Learning and Applied Statistics. His research work focuses on developing and applying statistical model and machine learning techniques to analyse complex real-world data, particularly in the areas of public health, psychological health, survey data and large-scale sample surveys. Dr. Joshi has been actively involved in teaching, research, student mentoring, academic activities and extracurricular activities. Also, he has been awarded the prestigious DST- INSPIRE Fellowship by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and was honoured with the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal from Kumaun University for securing First Rank in M.Sc. Statistics. His technical expertise includes R, Python, SPSS and LaTeX. He has also a passionate poet who expresses emotions, life experiences, and human values through the art of poetry.
