Dr. Neha
Assistant Professor

Dr. Neha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Sciences, School of Applied and Basic Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram, Haryana, India. She joined the department in 2024. Dr. Neha completed her Ph.D. in Toxicology from Jamia Hamdard in 2024, following her M.Sc. in Toxicology (2019), PG Diploma in Forensic Science from University of Delhi (2017), and B.Sc. in Botany (2016). Her research specialization lies at the intersection of neurodegenerative diseases, cancer biomarkers, computational biology, drug repurposing, biosensor development, and forensic toxicology. Dr. Neha is actively involved in multiple research projects, including: Targeted Detection of Glioblastoma Biomarkers through Skimmianine-Modulated Graphene Oxide-based Biosensor (ANRF-ECRG, 3 years, ~₹58 Lakhs). Decoding the Anti-Ageing Effects of Skimmianine (DHR, 3 years, ~₹45 Lakhs). Unraveling the Relationship between Cancer Biomarkers and Psychological Health through Computational and In vivo Model Systems (SGT University, 2024–2025). She has published over 20 peer-reviewed research articles with an h-index of 6 and 93 citations. Her work has been recognized with awards including the INSPIRE Fellowship (DST, 2020–2024), National Science Day Recognition (2024, 2025), and Best Poster Presentation awards at SNCI (2022) and SGT University (2025). She has contributed to academic leadership as a committee member in multiple institutional bodies and has delivered invited talks and guest lectures at national conferences. Dr. Neha is also an innovator with a published patent on a green chemistry approach for detecting petrol adulteration using Betanin (2025).
