These Terms govern your use of the website, applications and related online services operated by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram (a unit of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust), Chandu-Budhera, Gurugram, Haryana - 122505 (the "University"). By accessing or using the University Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the University Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Where these Terms refer to "you" or "user" it means any person who accesses or uses the Platform, or whose information the University receives in connection with the services offered on the Platform.


1. Scope and Definitions

Platform means the University website, subdomains, mobile applications, APIs, and any other services made available online by the University. Services means any product, programme, listing, admission support or related functionality offered on the Platform.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly referenced here form the complete agreement between you and the University governing Platform use.


2. Eligibility and Registration

You represent and warrant that you are legally capable of entering into a contract under applicable Indian law. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction you must use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
On registration you must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated. You consent to receive communications from the University and its authorised partners in connection with services you request. You may control certain communications through your account settings as described in the Privacy Policy.


3. Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct

The Platform is provided to help users discover University programmes, courses, research and related services. Use must be lawful and in furtherance of that purpose only.
Prohibited actions include but are not limited to:

  • Copying, scraping, bulk downloading or otherwise extracting Platform content except as expressly permitted
  • Using automated tools (bots, spiders, scrapers) to access or harvest data from the Platform
  • Impersonation, forgery of identifiers, hacking, probing or attempting to gain unauthorized access to University systems
  • Uploading or transmitting malware, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise prohibited content
  • Using the Platform to carry out activities that compete with the University or harm other users

The University may decide at its sole discretion what constitutes misuse and may suspend or terminate access for violations.


4. Intellectual Property and Limited License

All content on the Platform provided by the University or third parties is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use Platform content for personal, non-commercial, informational purposes only, subject to these Terms. Any other use requires prior written permission.


5. Privacy and Data Protection

The University will process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection laws. The University will comply with requirements under the Information Technology Act, its rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as applicable to the University and its processing activities. Where specific legal obligations arise for intermediaries, the University will follow applicable rules and statutory requirements.
The University will implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and will cooperate with legally required data subject rights and regulatory requests.
By using the Website, users consent to the collection, processing, and use of information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and University policies.


6. Grievance Redressal and Officer

In compliance with applicable Indian rules, the University has appointed a Grievance Officer to receive and handle complaints relating to the Platform. The Grievance Officer will acknowledge and attempt to resolve grievances within the timeframes set by applicable rules. Any person aggrieved by the Grievance Officer’s decision may have remedies under the applicable statutes and rules, including escalation routes where available.

7. Payments, Fees and Taxes

Fees payable for any paid services will be set out on the Platform and, where relevant, in a separate fee schedule, invoice or agreement. Payments must be made as specified at the time of purchase. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, including GST, unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for providing accurate tax information, including withholding tax certificates where applicable.
Refunds, if any, will be governed by the University’s refund policy as published on the Platform and by applicable law.
Third-party payment gateways are used for online transactions. The University is not responsible for failures, errors or frauds occurring on third-party payment networks.


8. Disclaimers, No Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Platform and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The University disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
The University does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access, particular outcomes from use of the Platform, or that third-party content is accurate or reliable.
The University shall not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of use or inability to use the Website, reliance on information provided on the website, technical interruptions, errors, or cyber incidents.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.


9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the University, its trustees, officers, employees and agents from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Platform, or your violation of any applicable law.


10. User Content and Moderation

If you post content on the Platform, you grant the University a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and display such content for purposes of operating and promoting the Platform and University services, subject to any rights you retain and applicable law.
The University may remove, disable access to, or refuse to publish any content that it reasonably believes violates these Terms or applicable law.


11. Intermediary Status and Safe Harbour

Where the University acts as an intermediary for user-generated content, it will act in accordance with Section 79 of the Information Technology Act and the rules framed thereunder to avail any safe harbour protection, including implementing grievance mechanisms and complying with takedown processes required by law.


12. Consumer Protection, Advertising and Disclosures

The University will comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and related rules where they apply to services offered on the Platform, including transparent pricing, fair advertising and an effective grievance redressal mechanism.
Listings, banners or partner content do not constitute endorsement by the University unless expressly stated. Users should verify critical information independently before making decisions.


13. Termination and Suspension

The University may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for breach of these Terms or where required by law. Termination does not limit the University from pursuing other remedies available under law.


14. Amendments

The University may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated terms on the Platform. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after posting constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or prominent notice on the Platform where practicable.


15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms should be referred first to the Grievance Officer for amicable resolution. If the dispute is not resolved through the grievance procedure, the parties agree to resolve disputes by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration at Gurugram, Haryana, India, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. The arbitration award will be final and binding. Either party may apply to an appropriate court in India for interim relief or to enforce an arbitration award.
If arbitration is not available or enforceable, the courts in Gurugram will have exclusive jurisdiction.


16. Severability, Assignment and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent court or tribunal, the remainder of these Terms remains in full force. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without the University’s prior written consent. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any referenced documents, constitute the entire agreement between you and the University regarding Platform use.


17. Online Transactions and Payments

Where online payments or digital services are provided, users agree to comply with the applicable payment gateway terms and conditions. The University shall not be liable for transaction failures, technical errors, or unauthorized use arising from third-party payment service providers
