Dr. Amandeep Kaur

Dr. Amandeep Kaur is an academician and researcher with a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. She received her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, where her doctoral research focused on fractional-order filtering approaches for ECG non-stationary biomedical signal processing. She has several years of experience in teaching and research, having served as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology and as a Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow on projects sponsored by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. She has also worked as a Service Operation IP Analyst at Clarivate Analytics, gaining industry experience in intellectual property and information services. Her research interests include signal processing, biomedical signal processing, machine learning, and intelligent healthcare applications. Her research work has particularly focused on ECG signal processing, R-peak detection, arrhythmia classification, fractional-order signal processing, and machine-learning-based analysis of biomedical signals. She has published research articles in international journals and presented her work at national and international conferences. Her teaching interests include Digital Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, Signals and Systems, Python, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. She is passionate about creating an engaging learning environment and helping students develop both strong conceptual foundations and practical problem-solving skills. With a combination of academic research, teaching experience, and industry exposure, Dr. Kaur is committed to contributing to education and research in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Signal Processing, and Biomedical Engineering.
