Dr. S P Singh

Dr. S P Singh is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). He is a gold medalist in Master of Engineering (M.E.) and earned both his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Osmania University, Hyderabad. With more than 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and the development of radar and electronic systems, he has made significant contributions to academia and engineering research. He has held several important academic and administrative positions, including In-Charge Principal, Head of the Examination and Academic Sections, Professor In-Charge of Library and Information Systems, Chairman of the Board of Studies, and member of the Academic and Governing Councils at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology. He has successfully completed eight R&D and AICTE-funded projects and currently leading a DRDO-funded research project worth ₹21 lakhs. His scholarly contributions include one patent, 141 published research papers, two book chapters, and three edited conference proceedings volumes. He has guided four Ph.D. scholars and presently supervising two more researchers. His major research interests and innovations include MIMO radar signal design, phased-array antenna software modeling, radar error-reduction techniques, and industrial electronic systems. He has actively contributed to several DRDO project review committees and technical committees of national and international conferences. He has also organized and co-chaired Springer conferences such as ICASPACE 2021, 2023, and 2025. In addition, he has conducted more than 50 Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops, delivered over 30 expert lectures, completed more than 15 MOOCs/NPTEL courses, and regularly reviews research papers for reputed journals, including IEEE Transactions, IET, and IETE journals.
