The School of Emerging Media, Communication and Film Studies (SMCF) at SGT University prepares the next generation of storytellers, creators, communicators and media innovators for a rapidly evolving digital world.
At SMCF, students learn beyond traditional classrooms. They learn by doing through immersive, Project Based Learning (PBL) educational pedagogy that combines creativity, technology and industry engagement. Our programmes integrate Content Creation, Digital Marketing, AI Tools, Designing, Film Production, Podcasting, Creator Economy, Strategic Communication, Digital Journalism, Computational Media, Gamification and Emerging Media Technologies.
Students gain hands-on experience through professional media studios, podcast facilities, digital newsrooms, new media labs, film production environments, interdisciplinary and industry collaborations that mirror real-world media ecosystems. They get every chance to build their own channels, become an influencer, launch their entrepreneurship ventures or work with established brands.
Future Media Starts with AI. Students learn to use Generative AI for Content Creation, Ideation, Scriptwriting, Storyboarding, Film, Editing and much more.

Welcome to the School of Emerging Media, Communication and Films at SGT University.
Media shapes how we understand the world. As technology evolves and new platforms emerge, the ability to communicate with clarity, creativity and integrity has never been more valuable.
Our School combines academic learning with practical experience to prepare students for careers in journalism, filmmaking, digital media, advertising, public relations, content creation and strategic communication.
