The Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CoE-AI), SGT University successfully organized a 3-day online workshop titled “AI Foundations for Creators & Innovators” from 14th to 16th January 2026, with active participation from around 100 students across diverse disciplines.
The workshop was designed to enhance student competency in emerging technologies by developing a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence, its ethical considerations, and practical applications. Resource person Dr. Astha Verma, Senior AI Trainer and EdTech Curriculum Creator, AI Talks, Dubai (UAE), delivered structured sessions integrating experiential learning, reflective practices, and hands-on activities.
Key focus areas included AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, content creation, visual and media design, AI-assisted communication, and introductory coding applications. The program emphasized critical thinking, responsible use of technology, creativity, and interdisciplinary applicability, aligning with outcome-based education and skill development objectives.
Overall, the workshop contributed to capacity building, digital literacy, and future-ready skill enhancement, supporting institutional goals related to innovation, employability, and holistic student development.
